Videon’s aVia Media Player Featured on NETGEAR’s NeoTV PRIME

Videon, a leading provider of media streaming solutions for the consumer electronics market, announced today that its aVia media player will be pre-installed on NETGEAR’s line of NeoTV® PRIME streaming devices. The NeoTV PRIME with Google TV allows users to access live TV, streaming media, and web content with just one player. The aVia app integrates with this system to provide access to the user’s own videos, music, and photos, allowing personal media to be easily viewed.

 

aVia Selected as LG G2 Series TV Featured App!

Videon and the aVia Team are pleased to announce that aVia has been selected by LG Electronics, Inc., as a featured app on its G2 Series, Smart TVs which are the first to receive the Google TV 3.0 update. aVia will be pre-installed and is compatible with the LG47G2 and LG55G2 models and will offer LG Google TV users with simple media management!

The aVia Team is pleased to announce the unveiling of aVia Pro! With the same great features as aVia Media Player, aVia Pro was also named a Dropbox™ approved application by supporting Dropbox™ media streaming, provides user-selectable themes, controlling media after Fling, and ad-free viewing. Additional features and improvements to the user experience include shorter response times when scanning media sources. aVia Media Player version 6.0 was released simultaneously and provides in-app upgrade purchasing capability to aVia Media Player Pro. aVia continues to attract users world-wide by providing language options in French, German, Danish, Spanish, and Japanese.

aVia 5.0 Release Now Available!

Release 5.0 adds audio codec support, an advanced DLNA media scanner that allows for faster loading of content, and customer-requested user interface improvements to make managing and enjoying personal media even easier. With the additional audio codec support, users are able to play files that were not previously supported by their device, opening the doors for users to experience more media on their devices.


aVia Goes Global!

Due to the success of aVia, we have decided to expand our audience to different languages. Our first international venture was in the Japanese Google Play market. We have since expanded to the French language and we're looking forward to adding more language options in the near future to continue to accommodate our users worldwide. aVia Global offers all the same great features that customers continue to enjoy.


aVia 4.0 Release Now Available!

The aVia team is very pleased to announce software update 4.0. Per our users' request, aVia has integrated the Vitamio (plug-in) and is now able to support multiple video formats that were not previously supported. In addition, we have added a player preference so users can now choose between list and grid views. The next release, planned for early summer, will include audio codec support as well as major performance improvements to our DLNA interface.


aVia 3.2 Release Now Available!

The aVia team is very pleased to announce a software update. This is the second release specifically geared at listening to aVia’s customer requests. The last two releases (3.1 and 3.2) have added features which include video scaling, DLNA server/client improvements, subtitle support, and Android Ice Cream Sandwich improvements. The next release, coming later this spring, will also be driven by customer requests when aVia adds support for a variety of audio and video codecs.
